Challenging, rewarding Tech Support position with a fast-paced financial technology company. Candidate must have good skills in the following 3 areas:
Excellent trouble-shooting skills with both software and hardware problems: API issues, TCP/IP connectivity and problems with Internet applications, networking, etc.
Knowledgeable of JAVA programming ; familiarity with C# and Perl is a plus.
Thorough understanding of API functioning.
Our client is a highly successful financial technology firm. This Tech Support person will support a large-scale, complex Java-based application well-rounded, including analysis of API issues. Will trouble-shoot and resolve wide variety of problems including API and software issues. Must understand basic Java and API programming issues and trouble-shoot and resolve problems with TCP/IP connectivity, internet applications, networking and software.
We`re seeking a smart person with excellent trouble-shooting skills and a strong knowledge or Java and API functions. Must have excellent trouble-shooting skills and a passion for resolving technical issues. Should enjoy both networking and programming.

Requirements.
Good knowledge of Java and an excellent understanding of API functions.
Excellent PC trouble-shooting abilities with knowledge of MS-Windows systems (TCP/IP connectivity, DNS, etc).
Thorough understanding of Internet related applications.
Telephone tech support experience is a strong plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve technical problems with technical and non-technical customers.
Unix, Linux or Sun Solaris systems is a strong plus.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
BS Computer Science with a good academic record.
Location: Manhattan, NY
Compensation: $45 to $65,000 plus annual bonus and excellent benefits
